Reservations & Cancellations

Please call 941.371.3680, or toll free 888.881.3673 to schedule a tee time. Reservations can be made up to 10 days in advance.

All tee times must be guaranteed by a Visa or M/C credit card. Cancellations or reduction in number of players must be made by 4:00 the night before your tee time.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure that all golfers have the opportunity to experience Oak Ford Golf Club we request that you cancel any tee time(s) that will not be used by you or any person in your party by close of business the day prior to your reserved time or the cardholder will be charged for the posted rate for each player not playing.

Cancellations due to inclement weather (as determined by Oak Ford golf professional staff) are permitted. Rain checks are offered to those who tee off but do not complete the round.

Course Policies

Dress Code

SARASOTA FLORIDA GOLF CLUB Proper attire is required at all times. Metal spikes are prohibited. Golfers must wear appropriate golf attire. Men must wear collared shirts at all times. Women may wear shirts with or without a collar, ladies may also wear sleeveless golf shirts. T-shirts and tank tops are not accaptable golf attire. Golf shorts at least mid-thigh in length or other appropriate bottoms are required. Proper attire will be determined at the discretion of the golf professional staff. Golf shoes with non-metal spikes are required.

Rules of Play and Etiquette

USGA Rules Govern All Play, except as modified by local rules.
Pace of play for this course is 4½ hours. Play Ready Golf. Let faster groups play through if you cannot keep up with the group in front of you.
Player Assistants and the Golf Staff have full authority to maintain the rules and speed of play for everyone's enjoyment.
Each operator of a golf cart must have a valid driver's license.
90 degree cart rule is in effect unless otherwise indicated on the day of play. Carts must remain on paths on all Par-3 holes as well as around tees and greens.
Please fill divots with sand and seed mixture provided on the cart. Please rake bunkers and repair all ball marks on the green.

General Information

Each player must have his or her own set of clubs.
Personal coolers are prohibited. All refreshments must be purchased from Oak Ford GC. Outside food & beverage is not permitted.
Smoking is permitted on the golf course and patio only. Please be mindful of others by disposing of cigarettes and cigars in appropriate receptacles.
Oak Ford GC is not responsible for lost or stolen property or items left at the Club.
All rates include tax. All rates and policies subject to change without notice.
Golf club rentals are available, phone the golf shop for current rates.
Juniors may play anytime when accompanied by and adult. Phone the golf shop for current Jr. rates.
Groups of 5 are not permitted

Ideas to help pick up the pace of play

Ways to Play without Delay on the Tee

Play a realistic set of tees for your ability.
Take two or three clubs with you to the tee.
Watch errant shots carefully and line up the ball position so that it will be easier to find.

Through the Green

Be committed to keeping pace with the group in front of you.
Walk quickly - it's great exercise.
Keep time looking for lost balls to an absolute minimum.
When using carts, drop off one player and proceed to the next ball.

On the Green

Please repair your ball mark and one other.
Player whose ball is nearest to the pin should tend the flagstick.
Look over your putt while others are putting.
Be ready to putt when it's your turn.
The first player to finish should be ready to replace the flagstick.
Leave the green immediately and mark your scores on the next tee.
